We are proposing a Composting Program for residents of La Crescenta!! Community members will be able to access the drop off center with ease and we will collect the waste materials from them through a convenient walk-up or drive-through system. This program would be entirely run by volunteers from the nearby Crescenta Valley High School. The then fully-processed compost will be provided to and utilized by different community groups and individuals. We will run this program in hopes of establishing a model composting system that can then be transferred and adapted to initiate other small-scale composting operations in neighboring green spaces in efforts to lower greenhouse gas emissions.
