Replace Captain Josh Thai (Lost Hills Sheriff's Station)

Lost Hills Sheriff's Station serves the communities of Calabasas, Malibu, Agoura Hills and Westlake Village, as well as unincorporated Los Angeles County.
It is a vibrant and community oriented area, which expects positive interaction with local law enforcement.
Since the arrival of the new station captain, Josh Thai, community oriented policing has all but ceased.
It's said that any organization takes on the nature of its leader. This has certainly been the case at Lost Hills Sheriff's Station.
Captain Thai, as well as his deputies, have become unresponsive and indifferent to issues facing the communities he allegedly serves.
There has been an increase in crime and neighborhood disturbances. A proliferation of improperly or entirely unpermitted event venues throw loud parties late into the night. Despite numerous requests for assistance, Thai and his "community service" officers ignore calls and e-mails from residents.
While captains in the past have enjoyed personal relationships with community leaders, Thai flatly refuses invitations to attend community events. He also refuses to communicate with residents, largely passing off correspondence to his underlings.
Visits to the station to speak to community service officers (there are two), result in residents being left in the lobby area for up to 45 minutes, only to be told "no one is available."
Every community deserves to have access to those who are charged with protecting and enforcing laws.
Please sign this petition and help us remove Captain Thai and demand that he be replaced with someone who is responsive and cares about our communities.
