Ana Ayala started this petition to Los Angeles County Major and

Homelessness has become a major issue in the world, but especially in the state of California. Last year about 130,000 Californians were homeless, meaning 33 per 10,000 residents are homeless. This has been among the highest in the country. From 2016-2017 the rise of homelessness increased by 14%, but by 2017-2018 it decreased only 1%. California has been one of the states with the highest population of homelessness and Los Angeles county alone has recorded 50,000 homeless people. Many Californians are homeless due to mental health, drug abuse and addictions, while others are homeless because of Gentrification and Lack of Affordable Housing. Its becoming more and more hard to live in California, housing rent is to high and the working wages are too low.

I propose that California should lower their rents and taxes and raise the minimum wage so people can be able to afford housing and live comfortably.
