LA Concerned Citizens started this petition to Los Angeles County Chief Executive and

We are seeing an alarming surge of COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County. Specifically a 30-40% increase in COVID calls requiring serious medical attention. For the first time, the number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 statewide has exceeded 20,000, a figure eight times higher than that on November 1. Hospitals are at capacity making it very difficult to get quality care in a timely manner. Additionally, the Los Angeles Fire Department is having a difficult time transporting patients to area hospitals during this time of crisis.

Hatzolah is committed to the public. Given that their ambulance application is still pending with the County, they applied with them for emergency approval to transport patients to the hospital just during the pandemic. They were denied within thirty minutes of submission for temporary emergency approval. We are still waiting for the normal hearing process with no timeline in sight. Nonetheless, Hatzolah is committed to helping the public. They continue to take a large amount of calls with a response time as quick as ever. They are here to support the community in any way they can and we should support them.
