The problem that a lot of us suffer is losing our family and friends to incarceration. However, being incarcerated in State and County jails and Prisons are not as bad as being in a Federal Prison where you will Serve 85% of your time (nearly all your time). Let alone doing all that hard time we have a sentencing guideline and Mandatory Minimums. A Mandatory Minimum is a set sentence that allows the judge to not go any lower than whatever that Minimum Sentence is set. I dont believe that its fair to any human being to be in prison for an unrealistic time frame. When you compare Federal Sentencing to State Sentencing you see the difference. I believe everyone deserves a chance to be able to come back home to their family and children without having to do nearly life sentences for a crime that doesnt fit the time. I believe that there needs to be a change in Federal Sentencing and ending Mandatory Minimums to help get people back home to their families.
