Lorain County Ohio Local Government: Give people of Lorain County Ohio the cable service they pay for.

Time Warner cable is the only cable internet/television provider in
Lorain County.
Because of this, Time Warner has created a monopoly over the region and
its customers, and feels as though they do not need to be held
accountable for the quality of service in Lorain.
We need the local area government bodies to stand up for their
residents and work with Time Warner to provide quality service for
customers.
Lorain County residents pay the same amount as those in large cities,
yet the service quality is half of what other cities receive.
The primary issues include:
-Prolonged internet outages,
-Intermediate internet drops,
-Upload/download speeds performing at half the advertised rates,
-Poor data quality,
-Massive bandwidth bottlenecks
-Irregular OnDemand/DVR quality- On-demand features not being available
at all times due to lack of signal quality.
These and other issues need to be resolved.
According to the Chronicle Telegram, a Lorain County newspaper, the
city council has tried to contact Time Warner to discuss these issues,
but have gotten nowhere.
This is a petition to ask our local government to take more serious
steps in order to get Time Warner Cable's attention.
Possible steps could include:
-Fining Time Warner Cable until the quality of service in our area has
been maintained for a reasonable amount of time.
-Encouraging other cable systems to service the area with tax or other
financial incentives.
We are paying customers who deserve the same quality of service received
from every other Time Warner customer. Without us the customer, there
would be no Time Warner cable and I think we need to remind them of
that!
