!!! The students at Casco Bay High School are requesting that the school extend the length of time for lunch. Currently, we have a 30 minute lunch, which is not enough time to eat and socialize with our friends. We believe that extending our lunch to an hour would be beneficial for many reasons. First, it would give us more time to eat and socialize with our friends during a stressful time in our lives. Second, it would give us more opportunities to get out of class and stretch our legs during a long school day. Lastly, it will help students who struggle with eating disorders by giving them more opportunities to eat throughout the day without feeling rushed or anxious about getting back into class on time.

We understand that there are other factors involved in this decision such as staffing and cleaning up after us but we believe that this is something worth trying out! We feel like if we can show how much support there is for this change then maybe they will consider making this change!
