Ezra Leatherwood started this petition to Long Beach City Council and

These funds can be used to hire more social workers and offer more resources to help our children and mentally ill citizens in unsafe conditions. These funds can also be used to create more facilities that help develop trade skills, offer educational courses,  housing, and business resources to help people get on their feet and stand strong as contributing members of society. We will need part of that budget for a small tactical force, of elite weapon trained officers we choose to employ as an emergency last response. We will need an advanced camera/drone/telecommunications network that covers every inch of the city. An all access system that everyone can view on their phones/computers to report crimes, and anonymous tips. We will need funding for a small unarmed, martial arts trained, security team to patrol the streets 24 hours a day (We will also accept qualified volunteers from the community to help stretch out the budget. We also would need to reformat the jails into job corps type facilities that teach criminals skills to start businesses and offer follow up resources. These changes will 100% change our community lower crime and increase our prosperity! I have more to say..
