I support the no kill mentality and believe shelters should do everything they can to save the lives of their animals.

Make breeding of any kind of pet a felony and there won't be millions of unwanted pets to kill each year anymore.
Bored or lonely people should buy a teddy bear or learn to communicate with their own species - two-legged, furless, housebroken, allergy tested and manipulable humans!

Humans are the most intelligent species on the planet. We should be protecting the world - each other, plants, and even animals. Everything is necessary, everything deserves a chance to live.

i have adopted my dog from the shelter. i believe its truely a sad situation any animal has to live in a cage for even a few days then know the demand of responsible owners arent available to help save, prevent this situation. my lil man is fabulous, sadly he had been a stray with facial injury before we came along. but a stray..is owner neglect. we need to stop this madness, our pets deserve better.

Because its not the animals fault that we humans found an easy way to make cash by backyard breeding and dumping the leftovers in the pound

Animals have the right to be on this earth as much as humans do!

I have become very upset by the treatment of pet animals in the UK and US in shelters, and mainly irritated by the shallow excuses of pet owners who decide on a whim to dump them. More needs to be done to help the abandoned pet if unwell and more time has to be given to allow them to be re-homed. I find it heart breaking to see the photos of these poor, once loved pets and the anguish in their eyes. In the UK now, most of the rescue places for cats and dogs have a no kill policy but things are obviously becoming extremely difficult by the huge numbers of abandoned pets by uncaring individuals!

Because it is a crime to kill an animal because there is no space. Make space!! If it is adoptable find ways to get the animal a new home.
