Speed limits of 20mph for all residential streets in Sutton

A 20mph limit for all residential roads in Sutton will help make our streets safer and more liveable as well as improving air quality.

Almost all of the boroughs in central London now have 20mph limits on residential streets (http://www.20splenty.org/20_s_plenty_for_london_nov_17_update). As of November 2017, ten London boroughs - Islington, Camden, City of London, Southwark, Lambeth, Lewisham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Haringey and Hammersmith & Fulham - have 20mph limits on all/almost all of their
borough-managed roads. Already 43% of all Londoners are living on 20mph roads and streets with a 20mph speed limit (3.7 million out of a total population of 8.7 million).

Our neighbouring boroughs of Croydon and Wandsworth have both implemented a 20mph limit on all of their residential roads (as well as a number of their more major roads).

We think Sutton needs to do the same. Please sign our petition.
