Sibling Priority - Redbridge primary admission arrangements

Sibling Priority - Redbridge primary admission arrangements
Why this petition matters
The Redbridge Primary Admission Criteria has been declared to be partially unfair in relation to the siblings priority by office of the schools adjudicator in a landmark decision released today(3 July 2020) under AD 3648. We now need the final push to convince the council to reverse the change/qualification to the sibling priority altogether. I need your support with this petition if you are a parent and would like to have full sibling priority retained.
In its 2020, 2021 admission arrangements for primary schools, the Redbridge authority has qualified the siblings priority to be limited to siblings who live within 1 mile of the schools. However, almost all LAs in London maintain blanket siblings priority.
This means that the people who have moved (beyond 1 mile) since their elder child got a place in any Redbridge schools are going to loose the siblings priority. This is going to cause significant difficulties and frustration among the children and parents for these families who are having to send their kids to different schools and having to drop/pick kids from different schools at the same time.
The people who are most likely to move houses are from the 'renter' group and as per the Government data, the home ownership %age is v low in some less privileged social/racial groups. The full data is available on the below link.

This means that these social/racial groups are going to be hit hard with this change. Not to say that due to coronavirus crises, the parents having to send the kids to different schools will provide difficult for another families too.
