This petition is for residents of neighbouring roads of Parkhill Infant and Junior School (Clayhall, Redbridge) and other impacted individuals to object the proposals from Redbridge Council for the 'Schools Streets' scheme in parts of Lord Avenue, Stradbrooke Grove, Werneth Hall Road and Abbotswood Gardens*.

Redbridge Council are proposing to reduce vehicle access in parts of these roads between the hours of 8:15am - 9:30am and 2:30pm - 4:00pm. Any vehicles entering the 'prohibition zones*' between these hours, without an exemption permit, will receive a fine of £130 (reduced by 50% if paid within 14 days).

This petition is for residents in the roads outlined in the proposals* and other impacted individuals to object these proposals and to ask Redbridge Council not to implement the scheme in our roads.

We are asking Redbridge Council to actively engage with residents and develop solutions together to address the school traffic issues in our roads.

This petition is in addition to (not a replacement of) the formal consultation. If you have received a consultation letter from Redbridge Council, it is important that you respond to the consultation in writing outlining your views in addition to signing this petition.

As stated in the consultation letter: 'If you wish to comment on, or object to the School Streets proposal please contact the council by email - schoolstreets@redbridge.gov.uk, or write to the School Streets Team,10th Floor (front) Lynton House, 255 - 259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NY. All response should be received by Wednesday 27 January 2021**'
