I have lived in Canning Town for nearly 47 years, so remember when the airport first opened. At the start the airport used Dash 7 aircraft, which were fairly quiet, especially in comparison to the jets now used. We have already seen expansion at the airport and, increased flights, which start at 6.50am and have been known, to operate until 22.00pm. Increasing the flights and, potentially changing the planes, will increase the noise and pollution. Whilst I understand businesses need to grow, the airport must also consider the impact, on those who live and work in the area, which sadly isn't happening at present. We have received no offer to replace our double glazing, to help decrease the noise impact neither have the airport written to local residents, to ask how they can help or answer any concerns. I truly hope this does not proceed for everyone affected

We do not need more flights.
We need instead to be investing in railways not runways, trains not planes.
Please, do not go ahead with this.

I live under the flight path of both this airport and Heathrow. Plane noise starts at 4.30am, so I have very few hours of peace as it is. I certainly don't want more flights or any earlier ones. I don't even ever fly myself because I don't approve of the pollution aircraft cause or the death of birds they cause.

Airport expansion is wholly contradictory to our climate change targets and will serve only to worsen the already illegal levels of air pollution in the Borough.

Until electric planes are a thing airport expansion needs to be put on hold.

Climate change - more important to save our habitat than to fly around.

Air travel, as a major cause of global warming, needs to be reduced, not expanded

I’m shocked at continuing plans to expand airports given the massive environmental damage through air travel.

The impact on our quality of life is already high. I am convinced this will be even worse if LCA realises its plans,
