Today my two children & I were almost knocked down by an impatient driver whilst crossing Tubbenden Lane by Ashbourne Rise. They couldn’t wait to let us cross the road and instead drove in the wrong side of the road overtaking the car that had stopped to let us cross narrowly missing us.

The junction at Tubbenden Lane & Ashbourne Rise at school drop off and pick up times is now too dangerous. Cars are parked so that traffic doesn’t flow freely. Parents/carers are parking across resident drives and even in front of Tubbenden Primary School gates. Cars still go too fast up and down Tubbenden Lane at school pick up & drop off times.

There is a lollipop person by Tile Farm Road however there is nothing by the junction of Ashbourne Rise/Tubbenden Lane. This is of no use if you come to the school down Ashbourne Rise. You cannot see what is coming round the bend and cars are now parking on the junction which is making it even harder to cross safely.

I have spoken to the School and they have confirmed that they cannot make any changes to the current crossing provisions as it is all agreed by Bromley Council.

Parents, carers, grandparents, childminders & local residents please help get this situation changed so our children can go to and from Tubbenden Primary School safely.
