My Daughter is a 7th grader at Gilbert H Hood Middle school and is not able to use the locker for anything more than a jacket. These kids are carrying around backpacks weighing a ton !  Ive spoken to  numerous parents that have the same concern as I do. one of the parents mentioned that their child has scoliosis and should not be carrying a backpack weighing as much as it does ! The school needs to recognize this and give the children time to get books etc from the lockers. I understand they are afraid of the kids socializing and being late for class but these kids are going to hurt their backs carrying a backpack with 7 to 8 notebooks, folders, binders and chrome books! I need as many parents students etc to sign this to make sure the kids at Gilbert H Hood Middle school can use the locker for more than just a jacket.
