Have all charges reported to the Procurator Fiscal against Daniel Blackwood dropped.

Daniel Blackwood has been organising a fireworks event in Lochmaben for the past few years. This year he did fund raisers throughout the year to make it a great event for the local community. He tried to follow all advice on the council website for organising events but did not understand he needed a permit. This was advertised on FB for all to see. A couple of days before the event, someone from the council advised not to go ahead with the event and said a permit would not be granted in time. (This is the second time the council have done this as it happened at the Moffat sheep races too). Daniel cancelled the event but, as he had put a lot of work into this event, had all the fireworks, time off work and had arranged catering, decided to have a private event by invitation only on private land with the land owners permission, inviting friends and family. He had people manning the entrance of the private field so no uninvited people could get in. He has now been reported to the procurator fiscal for not having the appropriate licence for a public event. I was lucky enough to have an invite and it was the best display I have been to. Please help ensure any charges against Daniel (Goof) are dropped and ensure we are able to benefit from a public event of this kind in the future!
