Boroondara council has received a grant from the federal government to build car parking and they have cunningly planned a multi level commuter car park (when there is no longer that many commuters) with 200+ parking slots behind mailing road in Canterbury, a heritage listed area.
Both residents and local traders are deeply unhappy for that race towards spending money for the sake of it without the need for it. No extra commuter car park is needed nor wanted.
The local community wishes not to proceed with this extravagant misuse of funds and negative impacts on the local community
