After a series of collisions, resulting in one very serious RTC wherein a boy was killed, the residents of Ansley Common and Chapel End wish for speed control measures to be installed near Brett’s hall estate. This would ideally be a speed camera along with a pelican to assist families in crossing this busy road safely. 

Without these, it has been noted by residents that a lot of cars drive at least 40mph down the busy Coleshill Road, sometimes more. It is also a very difficult road to cross, and cars and bikes come along so fast that lives are often put at jeopardy. 

I urge people to sign this petition to make our area safer for everyone, including the drivers using the road. The trauma a serious collision can cause to the pedestrians and the drivers alike is worth installing a speed camera and at least one other speed control measure.
