Keeping are community safe from predators

Keeping are community safe from predators

To whom it may concern,
We are writing to complain in regards to the housing of convicted paedophile . On the 9th November 2021 John was tagged to and deemed not a risk according to the risk assessment that was taken place (according to police officers).
We had to find this information out via the media and this has caused great concern for all the residents of, who are families. We cannot understand how he has been homed in a residential area Full of families with young children and his house backs on to the school field that primary school children play on. Considering theses factors we would like an explanation how the decision was made that he was not a risk. We as residents feel at risk!
We have voiced our concerns to the police to be told if we are scared, we need to keep our children in and that he is within his right to be in his own front garden and look at the children. We are very upset over this response.
We are also upset at the fact none of the residents have been informed or contacted over a paedophile living in our street and we only found out due to the media. Rules should be in place to ensure the safety of children and to not house paedophiles in a house that over looks any schools grounds or next door to children and grandchildren. We believe there has been no duty of care or thoughts given to any of our children and there safety is our priority. We do not feel safe with having paedophiles living on our street. This is causing a lot of distress amongst residents, we are all a close community and this has left us feeling uneasy in out own homes.
We do not want who is named on the tenancy or , back on our street.
Even though the police have temporarily removed them both, we have been informed by the police and Plus Dane Housing Association that they are coming back as not deemed a risk. This we all strongly disagree with.
This letter is from all the residents stated below:
