We as people take a lot from the environment, but in the process, we end up destroying it. Therefore, it is our duty as citizens of this town, members of this community and being of this earth to fix any blunders and rejuvenate the environmental systems. This becomes a purpose for us to contribute towards the one thing that we have been taking from.

The worlds economy is dependent on agriculture which is again dependent on the rivers. Unfortunately, the natural flows of all the rivers have been either blocked or diverted by the man-made dams. Construction of the dams may have some purpose related to irrigation and flood control. But all the rivers are now getting polluted and shallow due to disposal of all garbage, harmful chemicals, and drainage outlets. The offenders are not limited to the common people but also the local municipal corporations and industries. The existing laws are not that strict and effective to stop the offenders to pollute the rivers. There is a need for extremely strict and effective legislations Exampletory punishment (such as non-bailable arrest with minimum 5-years jail and cancellation of industrial license) for the offenders(both public and govt/public office bearers) and their implementations against the following acts.

Sign this petition to bypass hard engineering tools, to move toward those that are less harmful while making sure violators get punished. Let us save the Krishna River, as it is Hyderabad's greatest provider.
