Christchurch hospital car parking petition

Seven years after the Canterbury earthquakes, there is still not a parking facility for the Christchurch hospital that is safe for patients, staff, and the public to use. This places patients, the public and staff at risk, and serious harm is known to have occurred to all of these groups, due to this failure by the authorities to provide an adequate facility.
This petition asks that a interim solution be established, such as using the now un-utilised former brewery site once more as a carpark - but this time the site should be sealed, lit, and provided with adequate shelter and facilities for those awaiting a wheelchair accessible bus service to the hospital campus.
It also asks that such is achieved by winters end, at the very latest, and plans for a permanent solution to this serious issue are expedited.
