Promotion of alcohol
When Kathleen Wynne allowed grocery stores to start selling alcohol she failed to put rules in place regarding storage of empties. I live across the road from a Freshmart in Front of Yonge Township and they store all of their empties in front of the store in 3 different locations at each end of a 125' parking lot and one in the middle, I've seen 15 skids stacked 5' high on a regular basis. The empties are picked up once a week by a transport and usually skids are left behind because there's so many.
The beer that is left in the bottles attract insects and rodents which carry many diseases.
Having to look at skids of empty beer bottles every single day is not good for a persons mental health.
Cigarettes have to be stored behind closed doors so that youth aren't exposed to them yet our government is fine with exposing them to alcohol and disease.
I live in a small village and there is an elementary school in my backyard and there are kids that go to that store every day on their lunch break to be exposed to beer.
I'm a cancer patient and am pretty isolated due to COVID-19 so I'm forced to look at this all day long.
I'm asking people to sign to force grocery stores to store empties indoors.
