Eliminate Single use Plastic bags in Grocery Stores

Over 8 million tons of plastic ends up in our oceans every single year. Every trip to the grocery store usually amasses on average, 4 plastic bags per household. We will never see this plastic disappear in our lifetime. It takes 1000 years for it to decompose.

We, as two high school students from Ontario, Canada, are calling on two major grocery chains to eliminate single use plastic bags in order to reinforce the use of reusable bags and keep plastic bags out of our oceans.
