Allowing children with head lice (live bugs/nits) to remain in school is putting our children at risk of lice outbreaks in schools. Head lice may not be a disease but it is a nuisance, it is very time consuming to treat, and expensive for parents to treat. Stop being so soft, and start making parents/guardians responsible for taking care of it. Treated properly, it shouldn't be a recurring issue, but if not treated properly, it will be. Parents who take proper precautions everyday, and responsibly treat their children shouldn't be punished because their children keep receiving it again and again. Please reconsider your decision to allow children with lice into schools without forcing their parents to treat properly. If you do not reconsider, we will end up with huge outbreaks of lice in schools, and more parents home schooling their children.
