Speed humps along North West Arm Road Grays Point
Speed humps along North West Arm Road Grays Point
SSC has has approved the construction of 4 speed humps between 94 and 172 North West Arm Road, along with a roundabout at the intersection of Serpentine Road Grays Point.
This project started 2 years ago apparently and only recently on the 2 October 2021 did council attempt to inform residents of the proposal by way of an unmarked envelope hand delivered on a Saturday addressed to the 'Resident' to selected homes between the 2 above addresses. The majority of that would have been treated as unsolicited junk mail and thrown into the garbage. A number of residents who did not receive the correspondence also responded having learnt word of mouth. None the less Council received 17 submissions opposing the proposal and 5 in favour. A 3 to 1 majority against it, however on the 5 November 2021 the 'Traffic Committee, comprising Councillor Greg McLean (Chairperson), together with Kristian Calcagno (representing Transport for NSW), Sergeant Scott Robinson (representing the NSW Police, Sutherland Shire Police Area Command), Mike Schrafft (representing the Member for Cronulla, the Hon. Mark Speakman) and
Sally Betzer (representing Transdev) met and North West Arm Road, Gymea / Grays Point - Crash Mitigation Measures
