Tony Trajcevski started this petition to Liverpool City Council and

Horningsea park like many other estates have streets that are extremely narrow, so for many years residents have parked their vehicles as best they can to allow traffic to flow and not have vehicles damaged, this has worked well.
Liverpool Council for approximately the last decade has had on and off parking blitzes issuing infringement notices ($105 initially and now $275) to vehicles parked “illegally” (partially on the nature strip and part on the road). If residence were to park their cars “legally” this would result in many more vehicles being damaged than they already are, also causing blockages for emergency vehicles as well as the weekly garbage collection trucks, I’m told by council that parking two vehicles legally opposite one another is also illegal, so where do residents park, most households have 2-4 vehicles, some more. The solution would be for Liverpool Council to build parking bays for streets that don’t have them, following council specifications most streets won’t qualify, but suggest that even 1-1.5m wide bays on each side will allow cars to park legally and leave ample room for passing traffic and mitigate damage to cars.
