I would love to cycle but I'm too scared in Liverpool due to the speed & aggressive driving. The traffic is already bad (my 7 mile commute to the Royal takes 40-50 mins). We've got a real chance to look at how we live more sustainably after this crisis.

It's good for everyone: for less confident cyclists, going to work or for exercise and keeps pollution from cars down.

In the short term this will help with the current crisis but would be great to have more cycling infrastructure long term too and reinvestment in the city bikes scheme.

Now during environmental and corona crises cycling is the best way to travel - makes us healthier, keeps cities cleaner. Cycle paths take away dangers and fears about being on a bike on the road. Making cycling safe and getting people on bikes by making more cycling routes should be a priority for city transport planning.
