Urgently needed Anti slip Mesh Grating for Two Mile Gate Slipway !
As many of you know there have been an extraordinary number of accidents at the slipway access to the lake at Two Mile Gate over recent months as a result of the lethal, slippery, algae covered concrete surface, where algae growth is prolific and unrelenting. My own accident necessitated an A & E visit as a result of a moderate concussion & deep head wound that required 3 staples. A long list of both adults & children have reported significant direct head-bangs to the concrete & significant bodily bruising, cuts, & abrasions as a direct result of slipping at this lethally dangerous & hazardous launching & entry point to the lake. Please sign this petition, which will be sent to local Clare County councillors Tony O’Brien & Alan O’Callaghan, & Waterways Ireland, to ensure they take immediate & urgent action by securing GRP anti-slip marine mesh grating to the slipway for the immediate & long term safety of both our community members & visitors.
Your support in this critical matter is greatly appreciated.
