Live Export: costing local Tasmanian jobs

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500.

90 local meat workers in Longford have been stood down without pay for the second time in six months.

These meat workers have no income and no way to support their families because JBS Longford won't pay the prices required to purchase livestock. They are now at the breaking point and desperately need help.

Livestock prices have skyrocketed in recent years as live exporters take advantage of government subsidies that make it cheaper to send cattle out of Tasmania than to process it here and employ local workers.

This situation is unsustainable and must not be allowed to continue.

Sign the petition to show your support for bringing these workers back and easing the pressure on local families.
