In the past few weeks, the Coronavirus has spread at an extreme rate. The Coronavirus is a serious flu-like illness that is so contagious that the average person with the illness infects 6-8 people on average. So, why wait? That means, on our campus, if one person gets it, then others will, and from there, it is downhill. 

The Coronavirus is affecting all New York residents. Cases of the virus are only increasing, and the best way to avoid spreading of the virus is self-isolation. Officials are not reliable in this critical situation, we must take action to prevent the spread before the crisis not after. Most of the LIU community are commuters and public transportation is discouraged at this time. We must put our health and our close family's well-being first.

An alternative to in-class sessions can be online classes to ensure not only our safety but the people around us.
