Stop the Rehabilitated Bell Quarry from being filled with waste

Stop the Rehabilitated Bell Quarry from being filled with waste
Why this petition matters
Here we go again!
The proposal to fill the rehabilitated Bell Quarry with Sydney land waste was initially refused and the developer has now submitted a revised application, with many of the original concerns unaddressed completely.
Why you should be concerned:
· One million cubic metres of Sydney land waste to be transported over 15 years up Bells Line of Road and Great Western Highway – more trucks, more pollution, more noise, more road deaths
· Dumping waste adjacent to the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, with run-off water entering the pristine Wollangambie River with no water monitoring requirements
· The tiny and peaceful Sandham Road with residents housing, access areas into the Blue Mountains National Park, and a pleasant walking track from Bell station into areas like the Dargan Arch is not designed for large trucks creating an unacceptable risk to residents, visitors and native fauna
