It is evident that students have lost one year of instruction and it is recommended that they attend school in person, however their health and safety should be priority. We know that Governor Abbott is not mandating masks , yet there is no other protection for students starting school August 16 . I urge parents of LISD students to sign this petition so that our students are required to wear a mask . It is the only way to keep our children, teachers and staff safe !
