Image shown is of the oppressors who wish to abolish the Indigenous Social Gathering in LLB. The show of hands is living proof of Cultural Retention and Racism is very much alive in the town of Lac La Biche. This image is of those who voted illegally to ban anyone who worked for the first 'Indian President' of the LLB Pow Wow since the town and Pow Wow Association took over for profit & tourism in 1966. Even though these individuals (the adversaries) were read the bylaws, they still did, and voted illegally. An indigenous officer bared witness to this event. We need justice!
Please help the Indigenous peoples of the Lac La Biche, AB, by signing this petition to bring back the histories, truth & reconciliation of the First Nation & Metis Cultures protocols. There is a need to practice, perform the rituals and have self pride within the community.
By bringing the Indigenous cultures together, we can form a brotherhood and develop a general understanding of each other in the community.
Signing this petition we can promote a unity in the community. Healing can happen through ceremonies, and we then we can move forward with the protocols, living histories, and traditions. We can and will heal and promote cultural pride with our future generations, and end the cultural oppression that is happening in Lac La Biche, AB And the surrounding First Nation and Metis Settlements.
