We would like to petition the city to install speed humps on the following roads. Poplar wood Dr. , Bampton Dr., and Chatham Oaks Dr. in the Poplar Woods Community located in Concord NC 28027. We had many insistences where people are speeding through the local community causing concern for our children, animals and those who walk / run in the neighborhood. We feel if the problem is not solved there could be possible future incidents that could harm the residents and their families. We have had several HOA meetings discussing the issue and want to see the problem rectified by the city. Many residents have placed signs to slow down, however nothing has worked. This petition is to solve the problem and we ask the city to step in and install speed humps through out our neighborhood.
