You've prbably noticed that the CHCCS school district has added this new extention called "GoGuardian" which allows teacher to see exactly what we are doing and allows them to cancel tabs, block apps, block browser or just lock your screen completly. Which I think isnt fair to the students and is an invasion of privacy. Recently the CHCCS school district has been blocking apps which students use to communicate with others e.g; Google Hangouts, Slack. There was some uproar about Google Hangouts but later died down. We started using slack then they blocked that aswell. Now they've added this extension which we basically can't do anything our laptops are now just a chunk of technology which we no longer have control over. What was the point of giving us laptops if we can't even do anything with it. I understand that some people play games but its their education that their are messing up. I personally think GoGuardian is creepy and "Big Brotherish". They can also see your location and if you turn on your camera they can see you. Hopefully this petion will make the school district stop using GoGuardian and refund the $10,000 they wasted on this stupid application.
