Mr. Walters is a competent and dedicated leader who has proven his ability to lead both students and staff. He is the true definition of our school motto - be kind-work hard- expect success. 

In one short year, Mr. Walters has made tremendous improvements to the school. Not only with a new logo but a new direction.

He is outside every morning greeting the children with a smile on and go getter attitude. At the end of the day, he is there to say good bye to our children. Many of which hug and high five him as they head home. The relationship he has built with the staff is undeniable. You can feel the warmth and caring environment when walking into the school. He has exceeded the bar with his standards. He truly cares for our children. Which is why many of us can not understand why they would not allow him to stay on as our Principal. He has been the one constant in our children’s lives. They look forward to being greeted by him. He was on zoom with every class. He visits the classrooms frequently. He engages with the students and parents positively. He has become a role model to our children. We ask the BOE to reconsider keeping him on as principal. Losing him would be a detriment to the environment as a whole at School 1. Please sign our petition!
