Alison Schofield started this petition to Lincolnshire County Council

In the grounds of Lincoln Castle stands a bust of King George III, one of Britain's most famous monarchs. This statue is, along with so many others has been targeted by far-left mobs claiming that it is racist. This is a ridiculous attack on a historical figure who did so much for this country, while suffering from well-known mental health issues in his later years. George III was a highly cultured monarch. He founded and supported the Royal Academy of the Arts, became the first British monarch to study science and established a massive royal library. He never kept slaves, but was enslaved by his illness. If anything, removing his statue would be ableist.
