I am disabled, confined to a wheelchair, but like to think I lead an active, fulfilling life. I enjoy reading books of all types, I also am involved in researching local history and tracing my ancestory. Without professionally staffed, well stocked libraries my life would not be as stimulating as it is at the moment. I would feel a great loss if my libraries were to be shut down.
Libraries are vital to many people, particularly those who cannot afford their own computers and books. Give libraries to diversify, don't close them down. Save the money not building the road at Hawthorn Road over he LEB and give that money to the libraries.
Many of my family live in Lincolnshireand are horrified that Lincolnshire Council would consider closing any libraries. Libraries are the centre and soul of communities - small and large. How will people in country areas access books and other materials. Children and the elderly in particular need local libraries to access. Libraries are vital for education, recreation, research and the mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of all people.
