Allow Lincoln-Way District’s Madrigal Groups to Perform in Churches

The Lincoln-Way high school district’s Madrigal program spans across all three of its schools, with the oldest branch of the program being on its 49th consecutive year running. The program involves singing, acting, dancing, and the playing of instruments to create fun and lively performances culminating in early December for events known as Madrigal Dinners, held at each respective school. Interspersed along the way to the Dinners are many performances off of school property. Among these performances are libraries, park districts,  christmas tree lightings, and churches. Recently, churches are to be removed from this list due to a single complaint to the school board. The mass majority of families and children involved in Madrigals among the entire district are outraged because of this decision. Due to the nature of some of the pieces the madrigal program willingly performs, church gigs are a quintessential (but not required) part of the madrigal experience. We would love for you to show the school board that the majority of us involved would still like to participate in church performances! Please sign and show your support!
