Lincoln Student started this petition to Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School and

The graduating class of 2021 at Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School have decided to start this petition, as it has come to our knowledge that Ms. Kataria has been removed from teaching the grade 12 law course.

Ms. Kataria has been a dedicated faculty member at Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School for over 10 years. She has been inspiring students through her passion for teaching social sciences and encouraging inquisitiveness within those fields of study. Her loving nature and her drive to help her students succeed is the reason why she is one of the most admired role models at the school.  She makes students fall in love with the courses that she teaches, particularly Anthropology and Law which motivates further interest.

Unfortunately this year, the opportunity of teaching these courses has been taken away from her. Many students have taken these courses so that they could have the pleasure of being taught by this exceptional teacher. The students who have been taught by Ms. Kataria throughout their high school career have taken her grade 12 course, Law, so that they can have her as a teacher one last time before they graduate. Not only does this impact Ms. Kataria as an educator but also the students who were looking forward to having her. She not only connects with her students, but also the parents of these students like no other teacher has. T

his year has been challenging enough for all but if she is given the chance to teach these courses, her presence and cheerful attitude would support the students in overcoming any battles they have been facing. Through these dark and unprecedented times, we, the students of Lincoln feel as though these little changes and how they drastically impact the lives of many students has been undermined time and time again.

Please support us in making this change by signing this petition to help the voices of both Lincoln M. Alexander students and Ms. Kataria be heard.
