Lift Hampshire College's suspension of Iris Allen

Iris Allen is a trans/disabled music student at Hampshire who was wrongfully suspended after the school recognized his public verbal outbursts and panic attacks (both autism related, as he was put under extreme stress and pressure during the times of these incidences, and was at several points unmedicated after the school questioned his diagnosis and forced him to get re evaluated after they claimed he seemed like he was ‘faking it to abuse prescription drugs’). Our school assigned an area coordinator to be Iris’s designated support person to go to in times of such outbursts/ panic attacks happening. When he went to this non licensed and unqualified staff member to seek support, they immediately reported Iris for seeming ‘aggressive’. Iris was then given an hour to pack his belongings and vacate our campus. He was escorted by two armed police officers to his room, and then to a laundry room where he was made to wait for a taxi (paid for by the school) to drive him to Northhampton; a nearby city that Iris has no familiarity with. Iris has been homeless since the age of 10, after being abandoned by his extremely abusive parents. He has no family or relatives, and was literally put out into the streets by our administration in the winter snow. He has since appealed the decision twice, and been denied on both occasions.
