Lift Blackouts for Remainder of STL Cardinals 2022 Season.

Lift Blackouts for Remainder of STL Cardinals 2022 Season.
Why this petition matters

2022 will be the last year that Cardinals fans get to cheer on Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina (and possibly Adam Wainwright). These two (three) players have done historic things for the Cardinals and Major League Baseball. Fans of the Cardinals, and fans of baseball deserve to be able to watch these players as they pursue significant achievements over the last month of the season, regardless of where they live, and which regional sports stations their selected content providers currently have agreements with. It would be awful if fans in the 10 states the blackout touches don’t have a way to watch Albert Pujols hit his 700th career home run or Yadier Molina and Adam Wainwright set the record for most starts by a battery.
Major League Baseball is a business, and it is understood that the regional sports networks have paid to have the exclusivity that the blackouts currently provide. However, it is worse for the business of baseball when it doesn’t allow consumers to be able to access their product at historic moments. However, due to Sinclair Broadcasting, the parent company of Bally’s Sports Midwest, being unable to negotiate with many content providers, especially streaming providers, this petition is simply asking to lift blackouts for Cardinal’s games the remainder of 2022 for National broadcasts of paying subscribers for carriers that have ESPN or MLB Network broadcasts to be shown, or for subscribers of MLB.TV to be able to see these games. FANS WILL STILL BE PAYING TO VIEW YOUR PRODUCT!
Major League Baseball and Bally’s Sports Midwest, please do not deprive Cardinals and baseball fans the opportunities to see what could be historic performances. This would be good for fans, and good for the game of baseball.
