Hi I am creating this petition in regards to the lack of justice being served , when it comes to handing out sentences for murderers in our country. After comparing the sentences from the UK to any other country, We are letting convicts walk away with 10-15 years for taking the life of another human being. Juxtaposed to the USA where a 1st degree murder charge carries a sentence of a minimum Tariff of 30 years and above! As you can see in the UK murderers are getting much more lenient sentences for taking the life of another human being, Which I think is completely unfair to the deceased, The family members mourning the death of a loved one, and allowing the convicts to have a chance of freedom, When the deceased cannot. I write this petition on behalf of all the people who haven’t had the justice they deserve, And to please increase the sentences handed down to murderers. Furthermore I also would like to add that lenient sentences are allowing people to carry out more crimes, This is  because they will think they aren’t being reprimanded correctly and they will believe they can get away with this behaviour, if a larger sentences is given out,  I have reason to believe crime e rates would drastically be lowered.
