The graduate students from Delta State Schools of Nursing, Agbor, Eku and Warri (2018/2019 set) are yet to receive their practicing license after graduation.

The students paid for their license through their various school Principals after the release of results in June. Deadline was given for payment to be made. This is November and no license has been issued, not even a notification of licensing received. We have complained to the Principals of the various schools and they keep saying it is not in their hands. The Delta State Director of Nursing Services claims not to be aware of the delay.

This is of great effect to us because we are unable to practice our profession as Nurses without our licenses and by extension we can't be gainfully employed.

We want to implore the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, the Ministry of Health (state and federal) as well as the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives to step into the issue and ensure that we get our practicing license.
