Make the Anchorage public library a safe place for our children

Please sign this petition if you want to promote a safe learning environment in our Anchorage public libraries and advocate for a change in policy that would prohibit the viewing of pornographic material in the library, as well as require parent permission for children that wish to check out R or M rated materials.

1) Currently, the library has unfiltered internet sessions available for use, which means that pornographic videos and other harmful materials may be viewed in the presence of our children.  The Anchorage Public Library: educational resource or porn hub?

2) Children under 17 are currently allowed to check out R-rated movies and video games that are rated Mature.  Parents should have the right to monitor and filter explicit content for their children.  Movie theaters are prohibited from allowing children without parental consent to have access to this same content.  Hold the Anchorage public libraries to the same common sense standard.
