The Liberty Central School District (LCSD), Sullivan County, NY currently does not allow for the installment payment of taxes. The LCSD needs to implement this policy now based on the following: 

(1) The tax payment period has been extended due to the County no longer accepting school taxes.

(2) The Liberty School District tax collector is managed by a Bank Drop Box. 

(3) There is no extra burden on the school district tax collector to allow for installment payments. 

(4) The school district is made whole by the County for any unpaid taxes.

(5) Credit card payments are no longer accepted creating and even greater burden on those who do not have the tax payment. 

It is therefore, in the best interest of the Liberty Central School District taxpayers to allow for tax payment installments. 

We, the undersigned taxpayers, are urging the Liberty Central School District to change its policy and to allow for tax payment installments in the 2020-2021 fiscal year and all years thereafter.
