Honor Ghost Ship: No Dumping Unsafe Debris By the Bay!

According to CBS News, piles of debris from Ghost Ship were discovered on city property at Martin Luther King Jr. Shoreline Park less than 100 yards from the edge of San Leandro Bay, next to a soccer field where children play. While a legal battle is being waged over whose responsibility it is to safely clean this up, the Bay and the ecosystem are being poisoned.

Those of us affected by the Ghost Ship tragedy know that the Bay is a special place, and was very special to the people who we lost. Therefore, to honor their memory, we are demanding that Mayor Libby Schaaf and the city of Oakland make it their priority to handle the debris in a way that doesn't compromise the health of the Bay or its' inhabitants.
