Create Permanent Housing and Cap Housing Prices in Oakland to Prevent Homelessness
This petition had 112 supporters
Homelessness is a prominent issue in the city of Oakland. Homeless people are flooding the streets of our city to a point where over 50% of the total homeless population in Alameda county is located in Oakland. We need to help these people get off the streets to ensure a better future for them, as well as our city. We can ensure a better future by capping housing and rental prices in low income neighborhoods and creating more permanent housing to help the homeless population get back on their feet. If you sign this petition to the mayor we are one step closer to creating more funding and legislation of for the homeless. This is an issue you cannot ignore any longer, walk down any street in Oakland and will see the problem right in front of you eyes. Help put an end to this suffering, sign the petition.
