The LHS drama club has selected the show Katrina, which is about how residents of New Orleans rebuilded and recovered after the Hurricane decimated the community. The characters of the show are all black, however there are NO black actors in the cast.  The only people of color in the cast are two Filipinas.This is whitewashing and is unacceptable. By having no black actors in the cast, the organizers are just asking  for cultural appropriation and racial stereotypes to be performed, on stage.
