Trees are important, don't cut them down! Our voices are important, don't cut them out!

Trees are important, don't cut them down! Our voices are important, don't cut them out!
As we all know, trees are essential to human health. At Lanco, we all appreciate our tree-lined avenues, be it around the shopping street or our beloved walking-jogging track! Children, adults and the elderly are able to fully use our limited land, be it hot summers or winters, courtesy our shielding, shading trees.
Unfortunately, right outside the main gate, our green saviours are being cut down for the sake of road widening. Many of these have already been cut down and many more will be axed as the road in front of our colony is widened. Since these are outside our campus, we do not have a direct right over them. But, we do have all the rights inside Lanco. We are duty bound to the environment and ourselves to protect our trees!
Request the management committee of LHROWS to be mindful of safeguarding young and grown trees, everywhere on campus, and especially on our beautiful pathway. An open discussion of viable alternatives with all Lanco residents is a MUST, before CUTTING DOWN any of these sheltering trees. We are certain some greener solutions will emerge from our collective experiences and intent! Everyone is vested in making our Lanco safe, green and vibrant. We can even grow our own lush forest. Knock on wood!
